American Girl Doll Hair??

My daughter wants an American Girl doll for Christmas. Last year we bought her the Target Our Generation knock off and the hair ended up terribly tangled even with frequent brushing. Does anyone know if the American Girl dolls hair stays nice without having to send her off to the salon? Thanks for your help!

My daughter has the big Molly American Girl doll.  She took the hair out of the pigtails and we wish she never would of.  We got it back in pigtails, but it's not the same.  We could of sent the doll off to Ameican Girl Place, but it would of really cost.  My advice, purchase a doll  hair brush (from American Girl) only brush the hair when necessary.  She also has a bit Kit doll and the hair is fine on that one.

Oh yes! The hair on our generation dolls are horrible! I used to have american girl dolls when I was little and now my sister has some. The hair is much better on american girl dolls than our generation dolls! You do need to brush the dolls hair though. If it does get tangeled it is much easier to get back to normal than our gereration dolls though!
