American Idiomatic expressions......?

Hey guys! I'm a filipino guy here, I was just wondering about those american idioms that ya'll always do like:

"...Beating around the bush!"

"...try to put your feet into his shoes!"

"...spill the beans!"

what are those for and what's the meanings, and also, if u'all guys can give me some more examples of it?! i would appreciate!....

Do a search on American Idioms and you will come up with tons of sites with more idioms than you can shake a stick at! (Sorry, couldn't help throwing in an idiom myself!)
