I don't like the idea. Randy, Paula, and Simon are the perfect team. I hate it when TV has some great group like that, but then adds needlessly to it. Kara isn't even who I would choose for the job. She acts kind of like she wants to be the star of the show, and it's obvious that Paula's uncomfortable with her. What was American Idol thinking?

Why do they have to add another judge?

It sounds bad but maybe she will be enthusiastic and nice like Paula or she might be like Simon. Straight up rude. I like Simon's personality though, lol

It is true. Kara DioGuardi will be the fourth judge on American Idol this season. Here is some info I found on google.

Grammy-nominated songwriter Kara DioGuardi, will provide a little "girl power" to the judging panel according to a Fox executive.

Adding a fourth judge is no a novel idea according to the show's executive producer Cecile Frot-Coutaz.

"We had originally intended for American Idol to have four judges," she said.

DioGuardio has written songs recorded by Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood and Pink.

What do you think about adding a fourth judge to the mix? Will the chemistry be negatively affected. Will this give Paula less of an opportunity to make a fool of herself? We'll find out when the show debuts on Fox in January.

idk,i kinda just like knowing simon paula randy as the judges.

shes pretty tho :p but i'd prefer keeping it to 3 judges

Certainly, another female perspective will be welcome, or shall I say a sober female perspective! It seems that no one really takes Paula Abdul's inputs seriously especially with her blunders last season. Remember the "your second song" comments on Jason Castro when he has only sung once? He he. But I must admit Paula is good entertainment nevertheless.
