American Pledge in Spanish?

Do you consider it a disgrace/offensive or whatever to say The Pledge of Allegiance in spanish?

In my friend's spanish class they have to say The Pledge in spanish. Yeah, I know it's just for more practice and everything but that just brought up this question.

I'm not thrilled with the idea myself...

  1. I think it's a way of helping Hispanic children that speak Spanish get to know America before they learn English.

    America was founded by the British, the French, and the Spanish.

    I don't think it has to be tied to one language. :)


  2. My spanish class has to say it in spanish too. I don't find it offensive.

  3. A disgrace?  Are things in spanish a disgrace?
