When a mare comes into season and they're bred. How many days do you have to wait for the next cycle to tell whether they took or not?

  1. Every 21 days but each mare is different.  Some come in earlier some come in later and some have silent heats so you will never know they are in heat except for a palpate or ultrasound.  If she has been bred, get her ultrasounded 14 days later to check for foal.

  2. mares come into season in intervals of 18 to 21 days. If you are impatient though you could get a vet out to do a pregnancy test on her. good luck!!
