  1. That can be fixed as long as Capitalism exists , because Racism is an useful tool for it.Racism is a way to justify the oppression of people.

  2. I think that when it come to racism black people are racists too. Black people are not the only ones that are being targeted but also many other non-white people. Black people should really stop making a big deal out of it because they have it good now a days. Why is it that when it comes to someone being racist against a black everybody makes a big deal about but when it somes down to a hispanic it's like whatever and I think that is bull and everyone should be treated equally.

  3. in a few words it cant undo hundreds of years of mistreatment , I`m white BTW but I acknowledge that blacks deserve the same fair treatment whites do  its not really a black and white situation the same oppression goes on for any marginalized group. Maybe now the US economy is going down the toilet the Lions Jungle wont be such a proud thing to be king of after all. Many whites need to elevate, rise up learn what Faith Hope and Love is really about, stop pretending start giving a little to those who seem always forgoten.

  4. we cannot stop racism...............  blacks, whites, asians europian etc there will always be racist

  5. What can people do? Stop bringing race up in everything.

  6. We must all understand that there are forces that want our country divided along racial, religious, and economic lines. There should be no race issues in America in the 21st Century, that should be well behind us.

  7. If it were are simple as all trying to get along, the problem wouldn't exist. Racism and prejudices go along with the human race. It seems most people have a preconception or dislike of another race, gender, religion, ethnicity or political affiliation.

I have many friends of different racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds. For me the key is not believing that all people are the same. We are in fact very different but of equal value. It is a real enhancement in life experiences to celebrate one another's differences and appreciate others for that.

I am afraid that as long as the human race survives, so will racism although I wish it was not so. Our best bet is through education and just letting the kids get together to talk and see that everyone essentially wants the same things out of life.

  8. The first thing we can do is agree on "how much" and "what kind of" racism is actually out there. Many white people like to ignore racism, while many black people see it everywhere. Also, racism is not just limited to black and white, but it is where the most tension is in this country. I don't see how we can come to a solution if we don't properly understand the problem.

  9. There are many people who dont like people for their color. Just ignore them. I dont care if someone is a different color.

  10. firstly realize that the "racial divide" is largely an illusion...divisions in this country run on class distinctions more so than race.  but that is a different topic.

What blacks and whites and everyone else for that matter can do is communicate.  Discuss each others perceptions and respective fears.  despite superficialities, we Homosapiens  are more similar than dissimilar

  11. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

Racism is part of life. Animals practice it: cats don't like dogs. Snakes are hated by mice, rats, rabbits, etc. Such is life.

You make it sound as if AMERICA is the only racial environment. Racism knows no boundaries. It happens in Japan, India, Africa, South America, North America. If people exist, it's there.

The people who "keep racism" alive are those who keep bringing it up and harping on it. Move on. Go do something positive with yourself. In doing so, you will influence others regardless of their race and then YOU can move out of this social rut. I did. I learned to look at people and not see their gender or color. It took time and effort but life is so bliss. I can tell YOU or THEM what I feel without doing it because of a "racial" trait or feeling.

  12. When at least one side or race stops thinking about it. The rest will follow. Right now, it's a constant standoff.

  13. the gov't should come up with a intermingling scheme where we create a new "american" race. the ratio of mixed race should be stipulated as  4 part white, 2 part black, 2 part hispanic, 1 part asian, 1 part indian.

We should forget our original culture and embrace the american culture. only then racism would wane, if not eradicated.

  14. I'm no racist. I hate EVERYBODY.

Okay, now that that's been cleared up...

A good way to overcome it all is to just stop caring about it in the 1st place. So what if a man or woman is white, black, martian? Who care? It's not WHAT they are that matters, but WHO. You could have the most attractive person in the world hang around, and they're total jerks about everything, their appearance won't amount to c**p. Same thing with race. White guys and black guys are different in color, sure, but they're both just as mortal as the other.

    RULE OF THUMB:

In order for any race, s*x, group, etc. to claim superiority, the worst of their group must be better than the rest of any other group. However, every group has its idiots, so everyone's in equal standing. If you believe your group is superior, you're that group's idiot.

  15. quit asking questions like this one

  16. Stop the assumption or stereotype of everything.

  17. Stop making race an issue and it won't be.

  18. Like everyone else said-it maybe shouldn't be brought up as much, also-as parents-we have to teach our children that we as PEOPLE are all the SAME, no matter the "race"!!!

  19. Dude stop asking questions like this, people like you and this question continues this racism ****.

  20. What about the Native Americans?

Race issues do not translate to "color" issues.

There are many more races than those of the Black/White tribes.  Many races that are black and many races that are white and many more races that are neither black nor white.

Perhaps if true diversity was pursued instead of the self-serving agenda driven fake variety of "embrace diversity" propaganda... then there would be not "color" or "race" issues.

  21. they can stop assuming that the racial divide is just between blacks and whites, first off.

    *in reply to your edit**

only by people who put everyone in 2 categories.  sucks that people think black and white is the way to "cover all the bases".

bringing up questions like this is just an excuse to talk about racism.  do you really think anyone is going to get on here and give you some magical answer that nobody thought of before.  one of the main problems is that people ask questions like this and get everyone all fired up.  this will probably attract a bunch of bigots that will give stupid smart *** answers and offend a bunch of people, and you know it.  so stop asking questions that don't have an answer!!!!!!

  22. To understand that racism was made up to make one lower social class feel better about their station by putting a group a people with that had a similar skin-tone and features (that was different from the first group) below them.

Race is a classification standard made up by society and has nothing to do with genetics (except the few that make up physical features) or biology.
