American Tourist Visa, pls help!?

I am Indian on a one year family visitor visa to UK where my parents and other relatives live, and also have a valid one year schengan visa. I have had several Canadian visitor visa also. I just wanted to know if I can make an application for an tourist visa for USA being in UK now as I need to get there. Does anyone know anything about this, and if so what is the minimum number of months are their visa valid for? Any comments would be appreciated.

A tourist visa to the US will probably give you a 90-day period of validity in which to enter & exit the US.  But the actual time you would allowed to remain in the US is unlikely to exceed 30 days.  And to get that much, you need to prove you have sufficient funds for all the "typical tourist" expenses -- round-trip plane ticket, hotel reservations, ground transportation, restaurant meals, sightseeing, etc.
