American Visa- once your local American embassy has decided to give you a visa- how long is it valid for..?

Have a criminal record, will have to gain a Visa, before my arrival to the states- how long do they last for.... so many years? right?

All visas come with an expiration date at the bottom of the document with the exception of the multiple indefinite which has no expiration date.

Visas can be valid just for short as six months or as long as 4 years as in the case of a student visa.
