American airlines baggage?

can i bring a laptop bag and put in the overhead compartment, and then also bring my purse with a jacket and book in my lap (or put under the seat in front of me)? would this be ok?

I am assuming the laptop bag is relatively small, you may want to check the restrictions for a carry-on bag dimensions.

Either wear the jacket, put it with your bag in the overhead compartment... when taking off or landing the sitarists will want to see that your seat belt is on. Once in the air, and the seat belt sign is off you can definitely put your jacket on your lap.

A book is no problem, there are usually pouches on the back of every seat so you can store magazines/books ext...

Purse is fine under the seat in front of you, you will not be allowed to keep it in your lap.

You're allowed one carryon item plus one personal item (such as a purse), in addition to the items listed above.  In other words, the combination of items you list is acceptable for one person to carry onto an American Airlines flight.

Girl beware... Haha... I used AA for my homemoon in which i had 4 days... I spent 3 of my 4 days in airports due to engine trouble and lost luggage!!! How was i going to go on my honeymoon with NO CLOTHES?? Haha.. I would call and ask them what can and cant be carried on! If you are traveling with a few people that are not carrying much on.. Have them carry some of your stuff.. Anything to keep it in your sight!! Im not saying that this always happens... But i would def call and ask and take as much as you can with you!
