American and Mexican Recipes with sour cream?

Hi everyone I'm Italian and I love American and Mexican couisine so I ask you if someone can gives me some recipes with sour cream inside or can tells me where and how to use it. I have had some American friends who stayed in Italy for a couple of years, and when I went at their house they served little tomato and other vegetables with a cream, a white one with some green stuff inside, somebody knows what that cream is (was sour cream or other souge) if it was onother souge someone can tells me how to prepare it??Thank you sorry if my English it's bad...but it's been a long time since the last time I saw my friends (Easter Vacation) so please corect me!!Thank you bye

Tomato Dip

Tomato dip is made with chopped tomato, lemon juice, sour cream, green onions, and seasonings.

INGREDIENTS:

1 medium tomato, chopped

1/4 cup lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 teaspoons sugar, or to taste

1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup finely chopped green onions

2 cups sour cream

PREPARATION:

Combine tomatoes with lemon juice, salt, and pepper; let stand for 45 minutes. Add Worcestershire sauce, green onions, and sour crea; stir to blend. Refrigerate to chill thoroughly.

Serve with veggie dippers or chips.

I really like baked sweet potato fries.  The recipe is below.  Dip them in sour cream and they are so good!

Mexican burritos are super easy.  Just make some white rice, then warm up a can of beans and stir those in, along with some salsa.  Put that on a burrito shell, sprinkle cheese on, roll up and heat in the oven until it is a little crispy.  Put some enchilada sauce, gaucamole and sour cream on top.  Mmm!

Well the little tomato and other vegetables with cream was probably cream cheese.  Usually thats what people use with vegetable snacks.
