i understand (i think) that cuba doesnt recognize dual nationality, but i am still quite confused on the whole thing, i just want to know for sure what the whole deal is. My great, great grandmother and other family members were citizens of cuba, does that entitle me to citizenship or what? i also understand that cuba is known to not like america, i know no one can fly to cuba straight from america, but .....i'm just curious.

  1. nope gotta choose one or the other

  2. I won't pretend to know Cuban Immigration laws, but if you are a U.S. Citizen you can travel to Cuba (They will let you in). The United States has an embargo on travel, meaning you must have a special visa from the U.S. government that permits you to go there. You can apply for it and stand a very good chance of getting it if your relatives were Cuban. As far as flying straight from America to Cuba, last time I checked there was still a flight direct from Miami, but it may be cheaper to take a stopover.

  3. Hey, bubbles, Cuba IS IN America !

  4. just because your great great grandmother is from somewhere does not mean you have citizenship. The only time that works in parent to child. Otherwise, everyone in America would have dual citizenship.
