  1. While you can certainly apply for a visa to come to the US, you can't apply for asylum from your own country, you'd have to be here first. I think your biggest problem will be simply getting out of your country. In many Muslim countries, the father, or other male family members can block females in the family from leaving the country. So, even if you were to get a passport and visa, it's very possible that you wouldn't be able to leave. This is true even when the women are American citizens. Local laws, under Sharia, still make it very difficult if the husband or father refuses permission to leave. Since you are not an American citizen, the US embassy will make no effort to intervene. How can it?

  2. No they can not help you.

Unless you have some money or scientific secrets the US can use?

  3. no, for them to do anything you must be an american citizen or have a green card.

  4. Only if you can prove that you are being politically oppressed and your health and safety are in danger. I doubt having a strict religious family would qualify, unless you can show you are being beaten or tortured. Otherwise you will have to apply for a visa at the embassy, come to the US and apply for asylum. But that is a process and your family would probably find out before you can come over and take actions to prevent you from leaving.

  5. You can and apply with the American embassy but you can expect a lot of questions since you are Arab and a Muslim and Americans are very suspicious people. Even if your intentions are sincere they always manage to turn things around and suspect you are up to no good so you have to prove them wrong.

  6. what kinf of probs , do u think what u are looking for in usa is freedom , i agree if ur family are more than strict , but maybe u wannamore than be free , and u ve to be carefull ,

  7. I don't believe you are a candidate for asylum, if you are of legal age you may seek immagration to the U.S.

  8. Unless your situation is one that places your life in imminent peril, then you do not have a very good chance of receiving refugee status or status as an asylum seeker.

The U.S. embassy is ill-equiped to help you with your situation otherwise, and is most likely exhausting it's staff to handle dire issues of US citizens residing in your country and in creating a good relationship with your country's business, political and religious leadership.

If you do not have access to resources in your own country that can help, then you should contact groups such as Amnesty International, which have offices in many Arab countries, who may be able to guide you to the resources you need to help.

  9. I don't think they will give you "refugee status" from your family. But you should try to get a visa anyway.

The Diversity Visa Lottery is open until 3 December. It is a very simple application, and worth a try.

  10. Unfortunately, Ossama ben laden has made that difficult nowadays. No, the US likely won't help you... Perhaps you should pray. Or go to Switzerland.

  11. I can save you, but how old are you, are you single, good looking?

  12. I'm not sure but it wouldn't hurt to try. Maybe they could tell you where to get help if they couldn't do it .
