American/english money pleasee help !?

im going to new york in two weeks there is a rely cool website and i want to buy a item on there with a ENGLISH credit card then get it sent to the hotel im staying at will it still come through as the same price or is there some strange fee/tax on buying in dollers on an english credit card the items value is $25 thanks again

First of all there is no such thing as an English credit card !! and as for the item that you wish to purchase, why not go directly to the shop? the item will be charged in Dollars and the purchase tax added, then the card company will convert it into British pounds sterling and charge you accordingly, and all that for the equivalent of a little more than a tenner good luck, I hope what you are buying is worth the hassle, and expense. oh and New York has capital letters just like English!!


  2. You would only pay customs fees if you got it delivered to the UK.

  3. U might get a 2% ish charge for the conversion depends on who u bank with.

  4. no there should be noextra charge, I buy things from America all the time, and im not charged any extra money for using my English card.
