Well if you are coming to Ontario in particular, you won't be covered by OHIP. So you'll have to provide your own personal insurance company from the States. Make sure they cover out of country, though.

you will need out of the country medical insurance Blue Cross/Blue Shield what ever the Canadian system will NOT cover you and you WILL be billed.

Your car insurance should be good and you shouldn't need extra insurance but do ask your insurance company to be sure.
