You'll need a conversion plug, but we don't use UK plugs as stated in another answer. Australian  plugs are only used here and in New Zealand and Argentina.

Our voltage is 240v so before you plug anything in, make sure it will work with 220-240V. Most laptops do, but you'll need to check your cell phone. Most hotels have special wall outlets where all of your stuff will work regardless.

And yes, Australia is a highly developed country - of course we have Hollywood movies here.

yes they use UK plugs which have a greater volt which can destroy ur laptop or cell phone and and it wont fit ( so u need 2 buy a converter plug)

mate i live in australia.

we use three pronged plugs

and yes we do have cinemas with hollywood movies.

in fact we have the biggest cinema screen in the world in sydney

You need to make sure the power supply will work with 240Volts@50hz current flow.

I suggest a 'world voltage' power-board with individual switches for more appliances.
