American green card lottery winner...is it true?

I've just receive a mail that told me I'm the winner of US green card lottery.is it true or not?the site is http://www.us-green-card-lottery.org/ and I didn't register for it.

I think you should have that looked at cuz the official web site would has ".gov" at the end. And yours looks just like a private website. Could be a scam.

How could you win a lottery if you didn't register or bought a ticket? Throw away that mail and don't give them your personal information. I don't think the United States government would be handing out green cards as if they were lottery tickets. Must people have to go through a process to receive that card.

It's a scam. All such email lottery wins are scams. That's not how lotteries are run.

Unless you register and apply online, they wont be giving the greencard to you. It is fraud. Just delete, dont give your personal details or send money.
