  1. You will have no problem whatsoever. We also have Dunkin Dounuts, and a brand new Krispy Kremes joint opened up on May 6 in Caguas, next to the Wal-Mart Supercenter.

  2. We eat american food too. Do not worry.  Also try our food.

  3. THere is a walmart, and a sam's club a believe...a few of them. You'll be able to find something. But some cities don't have much.

  4. yes. we have many wal-marts too. it would be a good idea to try some good puerto rican food, you'll love it!

  5. yop u will be able to find everything that u are looking for, there are a lot of supermarkets like walmart, kmart, sams etc... so u will be find don't worry about it

  6. Almost everything you get in the states, you can get in P.R. as far as brands are concerned...

Oreo cookies, Kool Aid, Frito Lay chips, Oscar Mayer hot dogs and deli meat, all the cereals... all there.

Differences? Local brands of bread, Holsum donuts.

You will not want for American foods in P.R., but there are no "American" grocery stores per se...  like Ralph's or Safeway or Krogers or HEB.

  7. While you are there, do us all a favour and take it all with you! I am fed up with all them bloody corporate chains!

  8. Sams Club

    Wal Mart

    K Mart

Amigo supermarkets (owned by Wal Mart)

    most supermarkets have american products

  9. Hello.  lol. Not to sound demeaning, but just about ALL products sold in ANY grocery store are American products. So you'll be in  food dreamland if you're planning on buying dounuts, popcorn, deli meats, and anything American.     We also have more American fast food joints per capita than in the mainland (USA), and there are also many natural health foods stores if you're into that.

  10. What a Silly question...You can find everything they sell in USA...except  Krispy Kreme .

We have Walmart's...walgreens, BJ,  Sam's...the mayority of the Food sell in Puerto Rico  comes from the  States...

  11. Yes. I personally like K-mart. They have a large selection of snacks.  As for local brands, I like Holsum and Bacardi.

  12. Practically all of the food that you can get here is "American". The supermarkets here, American or local ones, sell the food that you are used to eating. There will probably be brands that you've never seen because they are local, but it's the same kind of "American" food. So, don't worry, you'll be more than able to get normal food :)

  13. If you`re staying in the area of Isla Verde there are a couple of supermarkets that close late. The closest to Embassy Suites is La Plazoleta de Isla Verde. Pueblo Supermarkets, Amigo and Grande, are all major supermarkets throughout the island. They carry just about everything you need. Their prices are reasonable. There are also many Walgreen pharmacys, Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, Burger King, etc. The donuts at Pueblo Supermarket are realy good. Try their local pan sobao, fresh off the oven. It`s a little sweet like, real light bread. Local food is also very good and safe to eat. You can buy BBQ chicken or pork with local sweet potato ( it`s like a yellowish color root), or Yuca salad with red peppers and onions. You can eat well, delicious and cheap.

  14. Not only am I Puerto Rican, but I lived there for 12 years, I was raised in Brooklyn New York and eat American food all the time, I had no problem, they have excellent supermarkets that sell the best products from all over North America, and from over sea's, trust me You won't be sorry, P.R has it all: Have a great vacation, Visit my City of Arecibo, you'll have lots of fun and bring back some awsome memories and don't forget the pictures, Have Fun

    all here are american food

Doritos, Oscar Mayer, LAys, Ruffles, Coca Cola, Sprite, Mountain Dew, Ritz, Pepsi, Powerade, Gatorade. we have all of this. the only we dont have that all of the mainland have is Sierra Mist.

you also can go to Mc Donalds, Burger King, Wendys, KFC, Pizza Hut, Dennys, Sizzler, Ponderosa, Chilis.
