  1. Well, first you should decide if you're willing to leave the UK and friends and family. (moving to a different country is a huge deal...)

If you choose America, don't worry, you're not going to get stupider...

If your school offers them, you can take AP or IB classes (that's what I do. AP = Advanced Placement = college course/credit. IB = International Baccalaureate = international college credit).

American high schools are usually not what you've seen in movies. at least not my high school. I live in southern California :D (I'm not sure if Michigan is as fun...probably not. :P )

Everyone will love you right away 'cause you're from the UK lol really. I know five people who go to my school who recently came from England, and they usually didn't have trouble "fitting in" 'cause everyone was so interested in their accent, etc.

Hm...yea I guess who can say "hi i'm a new kid" but if you're teacher introduces you first and says you're from Britain, everyone's gonna be like "wow cool!"  (but have a good personality to keep it up D; 1 of the 5 I told you about was so boooring! I tried talking to him, but after he was done talking about his city (Birmingham)...it just got all silent and awkward..)

If you're nice, you'll have no problem. Every high school here is different...but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it in no time. (that is, if you decide to move here.)

ok so if you're perfectly comfortable in the UK, there's no need to move, but if you do move here, have fun don't worry you'll probably have a good time, we're pretty friendly, and you won't get stupider, and if you want to go to college here (40 out of 50 of the top universities in the world are here) then it's usually easier for a resident than a foreigner to get admission.

  2. British education is better. Stay put.

  3. Stick with the British high school as its better. If you continue with your studies in Britain, your Bachelors degree would take you 3 years whereas in America it would take you 4 years.

  4. I've been to an American Elementary school but not a British one, i've been to Britian & America and honestly I liked Britian much better.

And once you go there, if you find out you don't like it, you won't be able to go back.

Stay where you are until you finsh your education, if you want to go to America after school and see what it's like, go ahead.

But during the middle of High School isn't a good idea.

  5. i think that you should stay in britain because the education is much better.
