  1. Are we doing your homework for you?  If so, I should say if you have access to the internet then you'd probably be better served by some well done searches; especially since you're spending Yahoo!Answers points to ask the question.

    1.  The Appalachians.  The way to remember is they're more time-worn, and glacier-carved, as well as younger mountain ranges have only just been pushed up by the tectonic plates.  What this means is these older mountain are lower and rounder, rather than tall and jagged.

    2.  Virtually any of these answers may be considered correct.  The answer that your teacher wants, the ONE answer, will be in your textbook, somewhere, probably in an out of the way declarative sentence like "The Indian peoples of the Americas..."

On a.  That really depends on one's interpretation of the bench standard of "advanced civilization".  If what's meant is something like what we have today, then certainly not.  Although these Indian peoples are now participants and contributors in this modern civilization.  If by the standards of their contemporaries on other continents, that would be debatable.  I would tend argue that, no, they were not as advanced, but only just.

    On b.  Yeah.

On c.  Although the Incas dominated the Andean regions, they exerted little real influence on the peoples of the Amazonian basin or other parts of South America beyond the Andes.  Likewise the Aztecs did not dominate the peoples in the Carribean, or what is now the United States and Canada.  However, it is speculated that these regions were strongly influenced by the near mythic Mound-builders, and other (only just) pre-Columbian civilizations.

On d. Not true.  Although there were tribes that did rely heavily on nomadic hunting, these were the exception not the rule.  And, in fact events tended to bias the Indians towards these practices, were the introduction of the horse and firearms, strategic maneuverings such as the French and Indian wars, a booming fur trade, and the displacement of these peoples to reservations, were all largely instigated by the White Man.

    3. This one you really should have gotten yourself.  The American Revolution.  I got it off of wikipedia, just copy and pasted "Iroquois Confederacy" into the wiki search.

  2. 1) Appalachians

    2) b

    3) The war of 1812
