I need to do a summary on this topic, what I need to have is this:

- Basic details of the impact of WW2 on the Americans -- dates, events, figures etc.

-How different government regulations and policies affected this group

-The response of the Americans to the changes/impact of WW2 and the reactions of others towards the Americans

-The extent to which society was maintained/redefined by this group

I have found some facts but am struggling to get in-depth facts. A website or your knowledge would be great.

  2. First, the US Navy protected Australia, and helped built up the defenses of Australia.

Secondly, I dont think the preceding answer understood what you meant, I would ignore it.

  3. I once had a brilliant book called OVER SEXED, OVER PAID AND OVER HERE.

It was all about American servicemen in Australia during ww2.

I have provide you with a link about an airbase that was built by the Americans in a southern Riverina town called Tocumwal.

Local farmlands were taken and the base built in 1942. The americans put electricity and the sewage on in the township and built the required infrastucture to support the base that quadrippled the town's population.

The american servicemen were *exotic* compared to the rural locals and for many locals it was their first time they had encountered african americans. Family members who lived through that time tell me that the servicemen were all polite and well behaved.
