I was just offered a job yesterday in California and I need to move there by the end of the month. We plan on flying from Buffalo NY to California since it cost less then to fly from Toronto. What will I need to get my son across the border and on the plane in NY? I have called and left messages on the Travel Authorities line and I have called the Consulate, but they refer me to their website and I cant find the information I am looking for. Montreal is useless also as I have left them 3 emails and they never respond. I need to move ASAP, any help would be great.

  1. if your son is seven or older he will need a passport and a visa if he already has one and it is not going through then it is expired.

  2. porno

  3. sorry but I think you need a passport for him

depending on his age may be a birth certificate would get you accross the boader  but they are pretty anal these days

  4. To cross the border by land, you all need a birth certificate and adults also need a photo I.D.  To travel within the U.S., adults need a photo I.D. and children under 18 travel ling with their parents do not need I.D.

Edit:  Passports are NOT needed by adults or chidren to cross the border by LAND.  7 yrs Old?  Have no idea where that person got that idea...no such thing.  You are American citizens...there is no way you need visas to enter your own country!
