  1. The Holiday Inn or Hotel Rose are both nice, I've had visitors stay at these hotels.  We live in Heidelberg, if you are not in the military or allowed to come on post then you can't say in the guest housing somebody mentioned above, it's on PHV.  However if you are military or a civilian employee with access to post then you could call the PHV Guest House to see if they have a vacancy.

Here's the site for Hotel Rose, you can click on the little American flag for the English version:

    http://www.hotel-rose-heidelberg.com/

Here's the one for the Holiday Inn, same thing, except you click on the little UK flag symbol for the English version:

  2. there are many hotels in heidelburg...I live in germany ...the cheapest way to go is going to be a gasthaus.  These are  nice comfortable rooms but not extremely huge.  When you go to a name like the marriott or other well known hotel be prepared to spend alot for a little.  Me frankly i dont care what color the curtains are if you know what i mean.  Most gasthauses are on the edge of town or the outskirts of the ''markplatz'' (the center of town)  a gasthaus in germany (which means hotel) is normally owned and led by a private family and almost everyone in this area of deutschland can speak english cost runs aroun 35-40 euros.   In a big hotel it will cost from 70-120 euros.  good luck on your stay it will be an awesome experience.  On the internet type in ''gasthaus heidelburg germany '' and compare prices.

  3. Head over to http://www.resideo.com/de/heidelberg and click the "Check Availability" button.  Choose your dates, submit the form, then check out the results -- you can sort by price, too.

Read about each hotel, view pics, book online...

There's a Marriott there, that's probably your best bet...

    Good luck!

  4. I live here but I live on post I'd love to help you out but unfortunately I don't know if that would be possible unless you are a soldier.  But if you really want to try something awesome check out The Couch Surfing Network.  Not joking this actually works.

  5. hey that a coicidence i live in heidelberg germany, if you want to, you can stay on the army post (phv or mtv) they have guest houses where you can stay
