  1. anywhere you go things are gonna be called something different so calm down lol.

Jello here in a fruit flavor gelatin. Its still called gelatin but the biggest maker of it call the product jello and its just kinda stayed over the years.

A PB&J is made with most jelly or jam both of the names are the same product...

  2. Jello is flavored gelatin.  Very good stuff.

Now don't pretend that Aussie slang isn't just as perplexing to Yanks.  You even think it's cold in August and hot in December.

  3. We feel the same about your slang.

It's that way with all places, even in America different states have different slangs.

It just depends on what part you go to.

For example,here....we say "pop" for what another place may call"soda"

  4. "Fillets" mean cuts of fish.

  5. Jelly is jam. Jell-O is gelatin desserts, initially used by Kraft foods.....

Australian English is very closely related to British English, For example, the term "biscuit" is the traditional and common term rather than the American terms cookie and cracker. In Australia the term chips is used for what Americans call French Fries. You also use capsicum (American English red/green pepper)

    I hope that will help...

  6. Jello is a cold gelatin desert that is fruit flavored.

Jelly is what you call jam. It resembles mashed jello lol.

How do the Aussies say fillets?

Edit- Toaster strudels are awesome! They are like a pop tart in the way that you put it in the toaster to warm it and it has a fruit filling but the outside is a flaky crust and you put a packet of white icing on top.

Chili con carne is Mexican. It's chili with meat. If you dont know what chili is I'm sorry but it's a flavor you cant explain if you dont eat Mexican food.
