Okay, I am from the US, but I'm not sure on this one.

When someone says "sup" to you, what do you say back?!

Do you say "hi", or do you say something like "nothing much, you?"

it's sad that I'm 15 and don't know this lol

  5. All you really do is say 'sup' back. If the say 'whats up' then you respond with an exact answer.

  6. "Sup" is short for "what is up" so you would most likely respond nothin much or say whatever is goin on.

  7. I say either, but usually answer "my IQ".

Sometimes "sup?" just means "hi", it's not always asking "what is going on?"

  8. ......you could take it at it's literal sense as a "request for information on what you are involved in at the moment".....and answer "not much" , or "I'm wait'in on a friend"...or whatever..........your second and more probable choice would be to respond as if the person had just "greeted you" like a friendly "hello"....and say "hey" , "whatsup" , or whatever greeting that you like......or your third choice would be to treat this greeting as rhetorical ( meaning a question that really doesn't solicit a response)...like when most people say "how are you"...they are saying "hello" and if you really try to answer the question...they are "in a hurry to get somewhere"...they really don't care how you are.....start telling them your problems and see...lol......sooooo.....if they are walking by and say "sup".....you can just give them an acknowledging nod and/or smile....or a quick hand wave.....it depends somewhat on the circumstances...if they slow down.....if they stop.......if you know them well.......if you want to get to know them.....it could be a conversation starter if you wanted it to be.......kapeesh?......

  9. "Yo, What's crackin home skillet. I was rollin wit my dogs down Slauson out toward the LBC when dis trick start frontin wit a attitude. So I told the trick to jus' ackrite, and we was on our way."

say that every time someone says 'sup' and you'll be the coolest kid in school.

  10. you can say "sup" right back at them or you say "not much" or "nothin" or "not much, sup wit u"

  11. When someone says "sup" or What's up" to me, I usually reply with "Hey, how are you doin?". There would be nothing wrong with "hi" or "nothing much, you?". Now a days, "sup" is used as both "hello" and "what's up"
