American students applying for Australian student visa....?

I'm a U.S. citizen and I wanted to (ideally) know how long it would take for an Australian student visa to be ready before I can use it to fly to Melbourne.

The exact process is determined by the type of studies in which you will be engaged.  However, the average processing time is approximately two weeks, once you have all of your required documentation submitted.
