Question:

American vs SI units question?

Does anyone else think that the USA's stubborn refusal to use normal measuring units like the rest of the world is causing them unnecessary grief in engineering, and threatening to drag drag Britain down with them? For instance, it's much easier to compare kW with kW, than BTU/hr with HP; and having all lengths given in metres is easier than having some in inches and others in feet in the same equation.

  1. America government and professionals use metric and it has tried to convert everyone several times

  2. England has only partially converted to the SI system, so a lot of their difficulties are their own fault.
