American women: are you lonely bc your expectations of a man are?

What makes you think that single women are lonely? I am single, have an established career, a nice home, and great friends. If I happen to meet a nice man, great, if not - so? I'm content being alone.

I'm alone because I'm black and men aren't attracted to black women.  I'm college educated, no kids, no drama, I'm not mouthy, I have nice long hair (not weave), I'm slim and attractive and I love men to dominate......go figure! Men would rather have little Asians, white girls or other women..........anything but a black woman. Heck, men would probably take another man over a black woman!

No, I'm very happy in my relationship. And I don't feel it's unrealistic to expect to be treated with respect, loyalty and to always be honest. It's a two way street and it's what's made my marriage as happy as it is for the past 10 years.

i'm actually not lonely at all, i'm in love, but thanks for the stereotype.  it's a little offensive when you make assumptions and generalizations about an entire group of people, especially when they're not true.

I'd rather be alone because that way I maintain my autonomy.  It has nothing to do with my expectations of a man, but rather my expectations of myself.
