  1. We have the right to question her competence for the office that she is running for. We do not have the right to attack her family. That is too much like the tactics that Bush/Rove used against their opponents. I believe that Democrats AND Republicans of integrity are sick of that kind of "win at all costs politics". Barack Obama and John McCain are both correct in asking their overzealous supporters to cut it out.

I do think that it is fair however to ask if Sarah Palin is exhibiting the so called "family values" that the right wing is so fond of espousing, when she leaves behind a four month old Downs syndrome baby, and a seventeen year old pregnant daughter for the grueling schedule of campaigning AND the possibility that something could happen to John McCain and her responsibilities became to the office of the president of the United States of America. Probably the most demanding job on earth.

  2. Sarah Palin's ties to Alaskan Independence Party are played down  The McCain campaign denies his running mate supports the party's separatist bent.  By Michael Finnegan, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer   September 3, 2008   Tonight, Sarah Palin will be nominated as the Republican Party's choice for vice president of the United States.    But back home, she has cheered the work of a tiny party that long has pushed for a statewide vote on whether Alaska should secede from those same United States. And her husband, Todd, was a member of the party for seven years. http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-...

  3. All anyone has ever asked is that she be treated like any other candidate... Leave the family alone! The attacks on her family are contemptible.

  4. of course not.

    dance puppets dance!

  5. That's rude. No. We want some answers and some admissions. Many teenagers will be looking at Bristol and thinking if this isn't the answer to their problems. Abstinence-only is a failure in terms of producing results. We have lost progress since switching. What hope is there for the future? The worse thing that anyone can do is just sweep this under the rug. Deal with it head on and then let that be the end of it.
