  1. My ancestors, green hills, beautiful accents, The Troubles, literature and fabulous music...I really want to go to Ireland...sigh...what do you think of when you think of the States?

  2. Beautiful landscapes, friendly people, and AMAZING music... hope to get there someday soon!!!

  3. A foggy, green landscape.

  4. Just imagine you are entering " a stress free zone "

  5. I've been to Ireland twice now, once on holiday, and then last year for a combined business/holiday. I play Irish harp, and am familiar with Irish history and language, so I have a rather different perspective from most American tourists. My wife works for a local Celtic-goods retail shop here in Austin, Texas, USA, and we went to Dublin last year for a buying trip, then (as it was at the end of January) to Kildare for Lá Fhéile Bhride.

The times we have gone, I have been struck by how strongly the Irish people take the tradition of hospitality. In my experience, Irish people are quite friendly and welcoming, and perhaps a little reserved until they find that I actually have a little idea of what goes on there.

The times I have been in Ireland, and the adventures and experiences I've had there, have been some of the best times in my life so far. I miss Éire very much, and look forward to returning for a visit someday.

  6. Leprechauns!

I'm clearly joking. You're beautiful landscape. I'd adore visiting one day.

  7. I have been to Ireland multiple times.  I proposed to my wife on the Cliffs of Moher and she and I have been back several times.

When I think of Ireland I think of beautiful green fields, seascapes, ancient rock ruins, traditional music, a pint of Guinness, friendly and engaging people, and rock walls...I love the rock walls.  I am Italian by heritage and American by citizenship, but I have never felt more at ease than in Ireland.  One day you guys are going to get an Italian-American transplant and his Scottish-American wife.

We are overdue for a trip over...:(
