  1. we can update it with amendments. We can also change it by repealing amendments. It is the greatest foundation for liberty the world has ever seen. To start it over would be folly. I would change the way our leaders were picked and add qualifications for voting privilege. I would repeal the 16th amendment and adopt the FairTax to provide revenues. I would further define the powers of the executive branch, and return our monetary system to the gold standard.

  2. I would remove the amendment establishing the IRS. Other than that the only thing I can think of would be to give more force to the amendment that (paraphrased) says that just because we've listed some rights it isn't to be construed that we listed them all. Or maybe the part that says (paraphrased) that we have listed all the rights of the government and they can't vote themselves more. Bottom line is that the Constitution was intended to limit government not us. What we have now is nearly unlimited government.

  3. I would add an Amendment to repeal the 17th Amendment and restore the Republic! I would enact a law that said victimless crimes are unconstitutional, illegal and void, that non-violent offenders would have to pay restitution to their victims rather than rot in prison and that violent offenders would be sentenced to die in prison, but that they could 'check out' any time they want. I would pass the ERA....

  4. Absolutely NOT... the drooling born agains would outlaw ABORTION, STEM CELL RESEARCH, the teaching of EVOLUTION and any other sensible ideas and make it part of the Constitution that only RADICAL CONSERVATIVE JUDGES could be on the Supreme Court... so the geezus freaks that are currently running the administration could force their narrow minded ideas off on the entire country through the Constitution.

  5. NO !

It should be followed to the very letter !

But that's not whats happening today, it is being so badly abused and trampled underfoot.

  6. It has been updated (amended) 27 times.  There are only two things I'd change currently. 1. No automatic citizenship for the child of foreign nationals born in the US. 2. All states, Counties, Cities, Jurisdictions etc... would be required to recognize all rights as enumerated in the Constitution without adding their own restrictions (specifically 2nd ammendment rights)

  7. Yes, I would take it right back to 1800.

  8. i would leave it just as it stands, that's how it was done in the first place,we should leave it alone, but that's just me

  9. I would not change the constitution, however I would clarify birthright citizenship.  Other nations have done away with birthright citizenship because of abuses and it is currently being abused in this nation, I believe 14th amendment is being misinterpreted and would love to see it studied and clarified.

  10. No but I would like those in office and the who are judges to follow it for once.
