  1. Generally, no. Obviously they have their own lobbyists that promote their community's intrests, but that seems to be strictly for Jews themselves, instead of trying to create legislation based on their religion that would apply to Jews and non-Jews alike, as Christians in this country often do. Everyone has lobbyists, though, so there's nothing sinister about it. Jews tend to stay out of other people's business, which is just fine.

  2. Nope the Jews have a more cosmopolitan and accepting view for the most part . I think it has to do with over 2,000 years of persecution mostly by Christians .

  3. If the people in any institution, eg  government, educational, etc, are not run by God fearing people with CHRISTIAN  principles in their hearts, those institutions WILL become corrupt.  Atheists, Jews , Muslims, Buddhists, etc. have not and can not and will not protect the RIGHTS of ALL their citizens in their country.

Every one tries to pass every law they can.  It takes a majority vote to enact a law.  And the Judicial to determine whether or not it conflicts with the constitution.

  4. No.  Jews (and most other non-Christians) tend to be very respectful of others' right to have and practice different beliefs without interference.  They consider a person's actions to be between them and their god (if/when applicable), not other people's business or fodder for church gossip and judgmental finger-pointing.

  5. jews do because judaism and christinaity share some beliefs and holy books.

  6. I think the Jews do the best job of all three Abrahamic religioins in America of separating Temple/Church & State.  Incidentally, I'm as Jewish as Moses on a technicality (my mom's gradmother fled the cossacks into the Netherlands and changed her name many, many years ago!).  But I have never been religiously so.

  7. No.  But honestly they are only about 2% of the population and most aren't very religious at that.  So it would be hard to even try.

  8. the jews don't believe in the new testament..so as for the g**s that is in the new testament..it's actually in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11...most of the things we protest is in the new testament..

  9. As a nearly lifetime christian I am feeling more and more like American Christians are missing the boat.  Perhaps even like the Pharisee.

    1.  Jesus would not have been legislating morality "render unto Ceaser..." didn't just address taxes.

    2.  Jesus said "he who is without sin cast the first stone" Yet we often lambast young women who have unplanned pregnancy's and/or abortions.

    3.  Jesus commanded us to "love one another" yet Mohammad Ali, when he was Casious Clay, visited a protestant church in the 60's only to be sent away because of prejudice.

    4.  "Feed the hungry, clothe the poor etc" had we done that during the depression we would not have relied on the Govt. for welfare.

Yet, we scream about Roe V Wade, g*y's, prayer in school etc.  I don't want to LEGISLATE morality.  If we elect someone with other beliefs than our own and we legislate prayer in schools what happens if the teacher is Buddist?  Muslim? or Hindu?

Love one another, indeed means tolerate one another.

Dr Dobson, the poster boy for the right, said jokingly but still said he was praying for rain during Obama's speach.  How loving or tolerant is that??  Would he be a good Samaritan or a Critical one.  If Jesus were on earth today I dare say he would be hated by Dr. Dobson for those reasons.

    Sorry to vent...

  10. No, the Jews are not into guilt, fear, and control.

  11. While some Jewish people may be interested in such issues, they usually join any protests individually rather than protesting as a group.

  12. pretty much everyone in america has some cause to protest, regardless of religion...

  13. Nope, the Jews are pretty quiet.

    "Pass legislation" is correct.

  14. Some do, but most do not

here are a couple that do

In Massachusetts we have this yutz by the name of Brain Camenker who does lots of antigay stuff and he is Jewish

and he is very over the top about the antigay stuff, to the point that it makes you wonder about him

Also Laura Schlessinger (also Jewish) has made antigay comments on her radio show
