  1. Not American but I think its sad when they say they go their for cheap drugs then think they are any better then Mexicans

  2. Nope, not at all. Mexico is a fun place to vacation at. The drinking age is not a factor, drugs are easy to come by, and everything is cheap. Mexico is an American getaway though, I am sure.

  3. Many Americans spend vacations in Mexico, seek out cultural history, bask on the beaches. Its geographically close by and less expensive than a European vacation. Prescription drugs are cheaper but illegal drugs are hard to come by.

  4. Nope.  I am Canadian and go to Mexico to enjoy a vacation in a warm climate. It is extremely cold (compared to Mexico) here in the winter months, but we have very nice summers of temperate weather.

Americans that we know and live there full time go there to enjoy their retirement that is much cheaper than home and Mexico has an agreable climate, with friendly people.

Most retired Americans don't have Health Care and can obtain it cheaper in Mexico.

  5. I'm not tired of my country as such, but travel to Mexico at least once a year for a break from the day to day routine.  Mexico, for me, is a bit more relaxed and there are few pressures when I'm in Puerto Angel in the state of Oaxaca.  I also travel north of Zihuatanejo to a surfing beach called Nexpa with my son and friends annually for the past few years.

I am, however, tired of my government, but leaving the U. S. will do nothing to solve that weariness, I fear.

Mexico is a great country with a potential to become even greater, and I enjoy the country and its people.  Mexico, as the U. S., needs to overcome its own worst enemy - its own government!

  6. Do Mexicans travel to the U.S. because they are "tired' of Mexico?"  Do Euoprans travel to the U.S. because they are tired of their countries?  That is just ridiculous.  People like to see new places, go to beautful beaches, be in a new environment to relax and enjoy them selves...it's called "vacation."

  7. I think that a country with the diversity of landscapes and the infrastructure that the US has and being the  3 largest country of the world has a lot to offer,

And if you look into numbers you will see that americans spend a lot more in tourism within the US. just see how many visitors Florida has or vegas or california, and compare  the numbers of mexican resorts,

You  look very naived with your question really, and I´m Mexican

  8. Think of North America as a house.  Canada being the attic, US being the main floor, and Mexico being the basement.

Going to Canada is like going into your attic.  You go up there, look around awhile, forget what you went up there for, and turn around and go home.

Going to Mexico is like going into your basement.  You go down there, it's a little dirty, but you like it and stay there and drink for awhile.

  9. I wouldn't say for Americans in generally because there's already some good answers posted here. However, I'd factor in the fact that Springbgreakers rather go to Cancun than Miami because they can have s*x with some guy without having to worry about the ridiculous no-no s*x laws in the US (as if it were so wrong for an 18 year old guy to have a 15 year old gf >_<'). Plus, factor in you can get drunk here (except in Mexico City) without having to worry about cops bitchn' about it as long as you're not driving a car or something. Nobody cares if a 16 year old tourist buys a beer here.

It's the sensation of freedom Mexico (in certain things of course) has that can be a factor as to why there's a lot of tourism from both the Us and from Europe.
