  1. I suggest you try contacting the International Bureau of Special Investigations. They are non-profit, and are pretty good locating people in the USA and other countries.

    http://www.ifasc.org or http://www.ifasc.net .

The President is Mrs. Krysty Pena. She and her staff are really nice people, who are happy to help with that type of cases involving veterans of the UK and US armed forces.

  2. use ancestry.com, or geniology.com. It doesn't go back to the Renissance but I think 2 generations will work. My teacher is related to Charlemegn, but her sister did years of research to find that out. God luck. I hope you find him.

  3. Use geneology.com, or geni.com to find the ancestry and the possible wherabouts of your relatives.

  4. http://www.whitepages.com/search/FindPer...

  5. http://www.cyndislist.com/

This website lists all the geneolgy web sites including free ones.

I'd check with the free social security death index - He's probably dead - but there is also a free index for WWII soldiers -

You may need to get more information from your grandma, but I'd start there.

    Good luck

  6. What happened to your grandma also happens to many people and in different types of circumstances. Why don't you look at 411.com or infospace.com and look at all the anderson phone numbers. Unfortunately you would have to pay for  calling up some of those phone numbers. There might be some sites where they offer free phone calls from internet to landline telephones.

For deaths, you can try legacy.com

  7. Please, sit down with grandma, and ask all that you can.. need a middle name or initial if possible, and as CLOSE as you can to date of birth/ age.  There are a lot of Joe Andersons, but I will do what I can for you.  DOES SHE REMEMBER THE TOWN? If he had brothers or sisters, or any other clues?

You can send directly to me through my profile if you want.
