Americatel Corporation Is Fraudulent.!.!.!?

Question

They put their stup!d, unsolicited long distance service for $20.72 on both my mother's phone service and mine--two totally different addresses. I called AT&T and they said that they can NOT remove their service . . . that I have to call Americatel and deal with them.

I called Americatel several weeks ago and they claim that those "sign-ups" happen by accident. How can something that requires paperwork, happen by accident? Have you had the same problem with these guys?

Can somebody tell me what to do? How does this company just pop-up on my bill? I feel helpless.

They are a scam company. Why they are allowed to exist is beyond me.
