Amex gave me a non limit credit card then gave it a 25,000 limit but Citi card only ahve me 3,500 limit why?

Wondering why if my credit is the same do these two companies give me such as different credit limit? Is it just that american express gives higher limits.

What type of AMEX card do you have? A charge card (like AMEX Green or Gold), or a credit card (like AMEX Blue)?

If you're using an AMEX charge card, the bill must be paid in full each month. Because it's not a credit card and you don't carry a line of credit, they're more likely to approve you for a larger amount...
