Before she knew it, the aroma overtook her and she took a sip forgetting the coffee was scalding hot. We can all guess what happens next. She burnt her tongue. Now, most people would curse out loud, but not her. Abby has learned to control her hot temper, along with her tongue. She placed her coffee on the table and waited for it to cool down.
After a few minutes, she heard scurrying footsteps and then a familiar voice. "Aunt Abs, you've gotten a letter." It was her nephew who conviniently lived next door. Although he was only fifteen, he towered over many boys of his age. He was tall and handsome just like his father, but he had his mothers eyes and sense of humor. His mother, Grace, was Abby's older sister. They shared their father's green eyes.
Anyways, back to the letter. "Who's it from?", asked Abby as she anxiously sat up and made space for her nephew to sit and read. "It doesn't say." "Please read it, and try not to sound so dramatic, it's not a play we're putting on." [A&C2]
