She sat on the porch as the sun rose gleefully early that day in November. It was cold, but it didn't matter to her. As long as she could feel, she was happy. The warmth of the sun on her face that morning gave her a sense of comfort and happiness that nothing or no one could offer her. Feeling, without it, I fear, she would be oblivious to all the beauty the world had to offer. As she sat, humming one of her beautiful, melodious tunes, a high whistle came from the kitchen. She inhaled the glorious morning air and went away to make herself some breakfast.
It took her some time to become accustomed to where everything was, but, she was much used to it now. She new her home like the back of her hand. Cliche, but true. After months of bruises, broken glass, and clouds of frustration filled with tears, she drew a mental picture of where everything was placed in this little cottage.
She took her cup of coffee into the sitting room and sat on the couch. [Amiable & Clueless 1 for more]
