Home burglary.?

i was away for over 2 weeks. came home to a ransacked house. my truck rims, tvs, dvds, dvd players, jewelry, bike, lawn mower, snow blower and other stuff was taken.

how likely is it that my insurance company, Amica, will give me anything for my truck rims that were in my basement?

Those rims and tires were the most expensive things in the house???

I am so hurt.

  1. This is understandable.  You were violated.

This is one of the reasons I am in favor of capital punishment. I just think it should be done the moment the police find the thief.

OK, maybe not that.  But I do not like thieves, liars, or Democrats.

If your policy protects the contents, then you will be paid by the company absent any exclusions.

    For the police:  Good hunting!

  2. The likelihood is great if you have the coverage... not all policies do... and you can prove the theft. That's what insurance coverage is about.

Most policies also have a deductible.

  3. Not at all.  Homeowners insurance specifically excludes autos, and any auto parts.

Amica is a great company, though.   They'll be fair, and pay you for the things that ARE covered.

  4. They should be covered - hope you had the receipt though! Just because they were not on the auto (auto insurance) but in the house (homeowners insurance) should not be a reason for a denial. A reason for denial would be no proof you owned them in the 1st place.
