Amico Fritz claims the Silberne Peitsche: Horse Racing news
This is the time of the season when some of the most prestigious horse racing events take place all over the world. All the best racehorses of the racing industry are being saddled by their famed trainers in the significant races that are being held in different
parts of the world. One such events was the Silberne Peitsche that took place at the Cologne racecourse on Monday. This was a Grade 3 race that was run by racehorses of age three and above over a distance of 6 and a half furlongs.
This was the first major sprint of the season in Germany and was won by the well deserving colt, Amico Fritz, by a very narrow margin. It has been revealed that the racehorse trains under the care of trainer Henri-Alex Pantall and was ridden by jockey Maxime
Guyon in this race.
As the race started, the pace was set by the front running colt Walero, who led the field into the straight. Apart from Amico Fritz, the other racehorse in contention for first spot was Aslana.
It was a very intriguing event as the aforementioned three contenders pushed each other to the limit and were separated by just a difference of a neck. That is why it can rightly be said that Amico claimed this race with the narrowest possible margin. Nonetheless,
the first colt to weaken in the front running was Aslana. At that point it seemed that Amico could easily hold off the field and win the race, but Walero was in no mood to easily give up his position in the race. This battle went on until the end of the race.
At the end of the race, the owner of the winning racehorse told reporters, “From where I watched the race, I thought that we were beaten.”
The pleased owner further went on to say, “He is a very tough horse, but six furlongs in his distance, and he does not want to go much further. He was having his first race in eight months today.”
