  1. The "word" length for DNA is 3 nucleotides.  That is each of the twenty amino acids is specified by a unique 3 character DNA sequence called a codon.  So, the number of amino acids specified here is 27/3=9.

  2. DNA has 27 nucleotides.

    (translates to)

    RNA has 27 nucleotides

    (transcribes to amino acids)

3 RNA nucleotides per amino acid (AUG= methionine, which is almost always your first amino acid)

    So 27/3 = 9 amino acids

    Good luck!
