Amir Khan: I am always going to back my training partner Manny Pacquiao – Boxing News
Former IBF and WBA super lightweight champion Amir Khan is backing his training partner Manny Pacquiao for his title defence fight scheduled for tonight June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. According to Khan, even though Manny has not performed his best
in his last few fights, he still is great at it and he will prove it to the world tonight.
While predicting the end of the match, Khan, “I’m always going to back my training partner Manny Pacquiao in this fight because he’s been in with better competition and reigned for such a long time. I think Manny will win the fight but don’t get me wrong
it’s going to be a tough fight. I don’t think Manny will knock him out I feel it’s going to go the distance because Bradley is tough. There’s no doubt Bradley will come to fight, seeing him train on HBO 24/7 he seems focused and confident and he’ll go in there
wanting to win. It will be a tough fight and a toe-to-toe scrap at times.”
Khan further said that Bradley is a tough fighter and even though he is not as experienced as Pacquiao, he still can be an upset in the ring. Khan also mentioned that Pacquiao is fast and he is tricky to beat compared to other pugilists. He added that Bradley
would have a tough time in the ring trying to figure out Manny Pacquiao’s next move.
Khan concluded that speed is going to be the main key in this fight. According to Khan, Bradley already knows that Manny Pacquiao is a speedy fighter. Therefore, according to Khan, Bradley will try his level best to catch Manny at his speed.
When asked about Manny’s weak performance against Pacquiao, Khan said that Marquez is the only fighter who can defeat Pacquiao or he at least has the style to. Khan further said that Pacquiao did not perform well against Marquez last year because the Mexican
pugilist knew Pacquiao inside and out and he could see every move Pacquiao was going to make.
