Amir Khan: I don’t talk much; I let my fists do the talking in the ring – Boxing News
The current World Boxing Association’s World super lightweight champion, Amir Khan, is very confident ahead of his 12-round WBA and IBF Super Lightweight Championship Unification bout against the International Boxing Federation’s light welterweight champion,
Zab Judah, this weekend on July 23, at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This is the biggest fight of Amir Khan’s career thus far and he seems to be under no pressure at all. He has already claimed he will become the new unified champion on fight night.
Khan, who has won 25 of his 26 fights including 17 by the way of a knockout, told the media in the final pre-fight press conference in Las Vegas that he doesn’t want to talk anymore, as his fists will now do the talking.
The 24-year-old Bolton’s finest, who is widely known as King Khan, also claimed it will be an explosive fight. He added that if Judah hits him in the ring, he will get a quick reply.
While speaking to reporters he said, “I don't talk much. I let my fists do the talking in the ring and come Saturday I'll be the new unified champion. Were both powerful, both quick and exciting to watch. It's going to be a great show. It's going to be an
exciting fight, if you hit me once, I'll hit you twice back because I'm a warrior.”
Khan’s trainer, Freddie Roach, in the meanwhile also commented on the Khan-Judah bout. He stated it will be a tough fight as Judah is a great fighter but on the same note Master Roach remarked that his Khan has had a great training camp. Therefore he will
shine on fight night.
“We have a tough fight ahead of us. Zab is a great fighter and we watched a lot of tapes of the 'new' Zab and we're ready. We had a great camp, 10 weeks with no travelling, no jet lag.”
Let’s see if Khan wins the bout and becomes the unified champion, as it will certainly bring a lot of big opportunity for the Brit in the future.
