Amir Khan: I know what to do in order to bring back titles to Britain – Boxing News
Amir Khan, the former IBF and WBA super world light welterweight champion, recently shared his views on the upcoming title bout with Danny Garcia, the incumbent WBC light welterweight champion. According to Khan, he is ready and in the fight zone frame of
mind.
Khan further added that he knows what he needs to do in order to bring the two titles back to Britain. Amir and Danny are moving forward slowly towards an epic clash that might capture even the fight of the year award.
The duo will meet at the Mandalay Bay Resorts & Casino situated in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States and will put the boxing fanatics all around the world an exciting, energetic, and explosive showdown on July 14, 2012.
Khan has seriously evolved into a completely different and more powerful pugilist. Thanks to Ruben and Freddie’s idealistic and calculative approach, Khan is now throwing jabs at double the speed and power he previously used to exhibit.
Ruben has ideally pinpointed and resolved the weak points in Amir’s fitness and has aided much in preparing the Bolton lad for his toughest opponent Danny. Amid the entire busy training schedule, Khan did not forget his fans and recently wrote a detailed
letter consisting of the weekly routine he followed.
While sharing his thoughts about the bout Khan said that he has not underestimated Danny Garcia at all. Amir was of the view that he is not intimidated by whatever comes out of the Garcia camp, adding that his job is to talk in the ring with the fists.
Khan added that he himself is surprised at realising his power and knows deep down inside his heart that he possesses the ability and power requisite to nail Danny. Khan also shed some light on how he and Freddie are discussing Danny’s weaknesses by watching
the fight videos.
Amir stated, “Freddie and I have spent the last few weeks looking at certain habits of Garcia and I know what areas to exploit. For this camp, because it’s been so long, I’ve worked on things that I’ve wanted to work on for a while and on July 14th I’ll
show exactly what I mean.”
The former world champion further commented with great confidence, “I’m relaxed and know what I need to do to bring those belts back to Britain!” Amir’s confidence speaks for itself that he is all set to take on Danny in order to take back what rightfully
belongs to him.
