Amir Khan: I think Zab Judah will have to hang his gloves up – Boxing news
The current WBA World super lightweight champion Amir Khan is ready for the toughest fight of his career so far against the five-time world champion Zab Judah.
The 24-year-old Khan, who has won 25 of his 26 fights including 17 by the way of a knockout, will step in the ring against the Super, Judah, for a unification bout this Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
Amir ‘King’ Khan knows the 33-year-old American pugilist, Judah, is a very experienced fighter and therefore it will be a tough night for him but still the 24-year-old Bolton Belter, Khan, is confident of winning.
“I think he could be the toughest one yet,” Khan said. “He's a five-time world champion and a two-weight world champion. He's very experienced. He's got skill and that southpaw style which is very awkward.”
Zab Judah is the current International Boxing Federation’s light welterweight champion and Khan wants to clinch the IBF belt from Judah.
He stated he is the new lion in the jungle and Judah will have to face him. Khan said he wants to have the world titles and therefore Judah will have to go down.
Khan also believes Judah will hang up his gloves, if he gets beaten since he is already 33 years old and it is a unification bout.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “There is always a young lion coming up and I'm going to take him out and take his throne,” said the Bolton fighter. “I want world titles and he holds a world title. It's a unification fight and I hope he's been
training hard because once I win I think that's it for Zab Judah, I think he'll have to hang his gloves up.”
Both combatants have declared a lot of things ahead of the bout, which ensures us a promising fight on July 23.
However, let’s see if Amir Khan, who is considered as one of the best boxers from Britain, really wins the bout or not.
