Amir Khan: Whatever test Floyd Mayweather wants me to do, I am happy to do it – Boxing news
The current World Boxing Association’s and International Boxing Federation’s Super Light Welterweight Champion Amir Khan has said he is ready to undergo all the tests, as he is desperate to have a bout against the five-division world champion, Floyd Mayweather.
Mayweather, who currently holds the World Boxing Council’s Emeritus World Super Welterweight Championship title, accused the 24-year-old Khan of using drugs ahead of his bout and the Brit has responded to Mayweather by saying he is willing to undergo all
the tests if he wants him to.
The Bolton’s finest, Khan, who recently stopped the former five-time world champion Zab Judah in the fifth round to claim the IBF title recently, is moving up to 147lbs after he fights one more time in December 2011 and he is aiming Mayweather as a next
opponent there.
Khan, who is widely known as King Khan, told the media he is ready for any sort of a drug test as he has never used any illegal substance.
Khan added he has been tested every time since he was an Olympian and therefore he is not afraid of anything.
“Whatever test he (Mayweather) wants me to do, I'm happy to do it,” Khan said. “I've never taken drugs in my life and never will, so that is why I am so keen on taking a test.”
He added, “I think they just want to break down fighters and get right into their heads. With me, it just doesn't work. I've been in the game getting drug tested since I was an Olympic athlete, so I don't think it will ever affect me.”
Mayweather clan also accused the eight-division world champion, Manny Pacquiao, of using drugs and now he has targeted Khan as he is considered as one of the best fighters in Britain currently.
However, let’s see if Mayweather gives Khan a chance to fight him or not as Khan has agreed to all of the terms put forward by Mayweather.
