Amir Khan believes Katie Taylor is unbeatable – Boxing News
Former WBA and IBF light welterweight titlist Amir Khan is of the view that Katie Taylor will win the Olympic gold. Moreover, Khan believes that Taylor is tough enough to challenge even a male fighter at her weight.
“(She) would beat any of the men in the 60 kg division,” said Khan in London.
Not just Khan, even former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis appreciated the Bray fighter saying, “The way she throws punches and the aggression she throws them with, you can tell she's got the killer instinct. I think the guys should be watching their backs,
she could beat a lot of them out there.”
On the other hand, he compared Taylor’s capabilities with Chorieva. For Chorieva, the Bolton proud claimed, “She's very explosive.”
For Taylor, he added, “She's going to be a different fighter from the World Championships you know. She'll adjust her tactics and we're going to have to adjust ours as well. You saw what she can do against Dong, who is maybe six foot to Chorieva's five feet
four. She's very good.”
Khan, who is keen at commentating on the Olympians, finds Katie unmatchable. According to the Bolton proud, Katie is an amazing fighter who can overpower any opponent. He added that her last fight was an exceptional showdown and that she will do the same
again.
Khan, who previously claimed he wanted to earn a gold medal in Olympics, is now taking out his time to make sure he supports the ones who deserve victory, regardless of their race and country.
Khan is on a leave from his sport. He is enjoying his vacations and wants to forget his astounding knockout defeat to Danny Garcia on July 14 at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. The British-Pakistani boxer was knocked down by a huge left hook from the
unbeaten American. Khan beat referee’s count but was unable to get back to his game. He was staggering in the ring in the fourth round.
After being knocked out twice in the fourth round, the referee stopped the show, considering Khan was unable to fight anymore.
