Amir Khan claims Manny Pacquiao will knock out Timothy Bradley easily – Boxing news
Amir Khan, who is the current unified World Boxing Association Super and International Boxing Federation Light Welterweight Champion, has claimed Timothy Bradley will be knocked out by Manny Pacquiao easily if they both ever meet each other in the ring.
The eight-division world champion and the current WBO Welterweight Champion (Super Champion), Manny Pacquiao, is set to take on Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12, 2011 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since Bradley will be fighting on Pacquiao’s
undercard, there is a possibility Bradley may set up a mega fight with Pacquiao, provided he wins.
However, the Bolton’s finest, who is famously known as King Khan, believes it will be one of the biggest mismatches in the history of boxing.
Khan wanted to fight Bradley in December 2011 to unify the 140 pounds division but Bradley did not offer Khan a fight due to which he was stripped off his WBC title in August.
Khan stated Bradley was scared of him and Pacquiao is an even skilled boxer. Khan also admitted that the Fighting Pride of Philippines, Pacquiao, is a lot more powerful than him.
“He’s on the Manny Pacquiao undercard against a nobody. What happens if he loses that fight? He’s finished. He’s so confident of beating me; he knows he can’t beat me. He didn’t wanna step in the ring with me...I hear usually the undercard [fighter], they
usually fight the winner of the main event, so the fans can see him [Bradley] and see what he’s like...I think it will be one of the biggest mismatches in boxing history. I guarantee for a fact that Tim Bradley will get knocked out cold by Manny. I know that
100%...he [Pacquiao] has a lot more power than me. I admit it,” Khan told Fighthype.com.
Timothy Bradley, who holds a record of winning 27 of his 28 professional fights, with 11 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, will take on Joel Casamayor for the WBO light welterweight title on November 12.
