Amir Khan picks Manny Pacquiao over Floyd Mayweather – Boxing news
Amir Khan, who is the current unified World Boxing Association Super and International Boxing Federation Light Welterweight Champion, believes Manny Pacquiao will have an edge over Floyd Mayweather, if the two ever meet each other in the ring.
Khan, who is widely known as King Khan, stated the Pacquiao versus Mayweather bout could be one of the most exciting fights in the sport, as the Brit knows both pugilists carry a lot of credentials. However, Khan thinks in the end it will be Pacquiao who
is going to emerge victorious.
The 34-year-old undefeated American legend, Mayweather, is considered as one of the most difficult boxers to hit and Khan also admitted this fact but on the same note, he remarked Pacquiao has a better attack.
“Mayweather’s defense is so much better, but I say Manny’s attack is better. It’s so hard. It could be one of the most exiting fights ever, or it could be one of the most boring fights out there. But with Freddie in the corner, he can make Manny adapt to
any situation,” Khan told Fighthype.com.
The 24-year-old Bolton’s finest boxer, Khan, insisted Mayweather has never bled in any of his fights whereas Pacquiao has a bit of experience in this department.
He said, “He’s come off the canvas bleeding and been in some wars, but has Mayweather? He has not been through anything like that. Okay, he got caught by Mosley and did amazingly well to dominate him, but that’s one punch. What about the 4, 5, 6, 7 shots
that Manny throws? So I think Manny has the edge.”
Floyd ‘Pretty Boy’ Mayweather is a five-division world champion and the current World Boxing Council World Welterweight Champion. Moreover, he is undefeated for the last 15 years and as a result he carries a perfect record of winning all of his 42 professional
fights, with 26 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout.
Manny ‘Pac-Man’ Pacquiao on the other hand is an eight-division world champion and currently he is the World Boxing Organisation Welterweight World Champion (Super Champion). Therefore, a fight between these two will certainly have all the hallmarks of being
an absolute classic. Let’s hope both boxers agree to each other and sign a contract for the millions of fans they have.
