Amir Khan to refresh his brand through Absolute Media – Boxing News
British Pakistani boxer Amir Khan is actively trying to refresh his brand, and for this purpose he has taken assistance of Absolute Media, a marketing agency based in his hometown Bolton. Khan wants Absolute Media to handle his marketing campaign for his
upcoming rematch with the current unified WBA (Super) and IBF Light Welterweight Champion Lamont Peterson.
Khan has directed to Absolute Media to completely refresh his brand before the fight. Absolute Media will be starting out a website, an image licensing site and an online store. The image licensing website will allow journalists to download official images
of the boxer to use.
In addition, Absolute Media will also start a Khan inspired clothing line in partnership with other brands. This way, Khan will be able to strengthen his partnerships outside the ring as well. Khan’s website will have a membership area ‘Khan World’. This
area will be especially for his die-hard fans. Through this portal, fans will be able to get their hands on Khan’s behind the scenes content prior to his fight.
On the occasion, Chris Hodgen, managing director of the agency, said, “Amir has done a lot to put Bolton on the map since he won the Silver medal at the 2004 Olympics; now it is our turn to help increase Amir’s profile. My team is working flat out to get
the main website live by the end of the month, with the new ecommerce shop going live in early May when the new leisurewear range comes back from the manufacturer for photography.”
Khan’s plans for his rematch are looking bigger than anyone could imagine. Khan has previously admitted that this fight means more than anything does to him. According to Khan, this is his ‘career make or break’ fight and he will give his best to make sure
he wins. Khan is currently under training for his mega bout.
On the other hand, his opponent Peterson is also highly motivated to step in the ring for the first time to defend his title. In his recent interview, Peterson said that he would rather die than lose his titles in the ring, which is a pretty strong and intimidating
statement for Khan.
