Amit Singh urges Rajasthan Royals for consistency – Cricket News Update
The Rajasthan Royals' medium-pace bowler, Amit Singh, said on Thursday that they were taking one match at a time, adding that there is still a long way to go into the tournament play offs.
Speaking to the media reporters in Jaipur on Thursday, the 30-year-old right-handed medium pacer from Karnataka said that his side was looking no further than Saturday’s away IPL match against defending champions Chennai Super Kings.
"We have done well so far but are not focusing on the final as of now. It is still a long journey ahead and we are taking it one match at a time. We have to keep our mindset positive,” said the right-arm pace bowler during a media encounter on Thursday.
After winning the inaugural edition of the lucrative Indian Premier League in 2008, the Royals failed to make it to even the tournament playoffs in the next three editions (finished 6th in IPL2, 7th in IPL3 and
again 6th last season).
The pace bowler urged the side for consistency, if they are to make the playoffs this time around.
“Probably, we have been playing well till three quarters of the past few editions to keep ourselves in the hunt but had slipped in the last quarter,” said the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Karnataka-c801 pacer, who has so far played 20 games for the Royals in the cash-rich league, claiming
26 scalps at an average of 20.07.
“I feel we have to maintain consistency to make ourselves one of the contenders for the title," he added further.

“Dravid has done great to keep the side motivated. He is such a good leader and planner," said the lanky pacer.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 Royals have had a good season so far as they stand second on the points table with four wins in six games. Dravid’s men will next play CSK at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on April 21.
